When I read a book “How to win friends and influence people”, it reveals the fact that being interested in other people is more value able interesting. Dale Carnegie, the author of this book, coded practical examples from different fields of life to prove this fact. My favourite lines are,
“You can make more friends in two months by becoming interested in other people than you can in two years by trying to get other people interested in you”
He explains how being interested in people helped Thurston to became a great magician, George Dyke to became a Fiddle Scrapper and C.M. Knaphle to sell fuel to large organization.
I was living with a paradigm of being interesting but after reading this I made paradigm shift and tried to implement being interested rule in my daily life. The astonishing results I received when followed this mindset in my routine talk with my friends and family members. They started to listen me by heart. It feels like a deep connection between us.
