The hassle brought to us by Corona Virus had shutdown most of the offices, and all of the universities, colleges and schools. To stay at home and enjoy life is very attractive until there is no tension of money, food and other resources required to run the households.
To be very honest, office people are now at home worried for the money and food but the situation couldn’t be the same, if they had acted proactively in their student life. Many of them are not at paid leaves. What if the shutdown is of more than expected X number of days and bank balances and ration runs out.
What if the pensions would be stopped? There are many people who were on daily wages as well. In contrast to it, students life right now is very chill and bindassssss! But the thing that we are going to focus here is, are we acting proactively? Now days, all of the students are home (non-job holders) and that is a confirmed news.
Some of the universities had started their online classes and it had removed the struggle to go to universities. Still we have a lot of time to spend on other things that will not support us when there is any other breakdown (ALLA PAK khair krein). But can you just take a minute and check for your future that what you will do when there is another outbreak. Do you want to be worried? Do you want to be the giver or the receiver at that time?
ARE YOU PREPARED FOR IT? If yes, then do give suggestions in comments otherwise read the full article. Here is a list of some things that you can do while there is an outbreak:
1. Freelancing.
2. Read Books and Gain Knowledge.
3. Online courses.

Read Books and Gain Knowledge:
BOOKS? Humse to course ki books nai parhi jaatien. Kisi book ko parhne ka time nai hai etc etc. are the lame excuses that we had given so far? But now when you are at home and having a lot of time, the second thing in our list is to read. To gain knowledge and to understand the realities of life you can read books. Just reading course books will get you nowhere. They are just the foundation to build a building of knowledge on it. And you know from where that building came from? Do you know what is missing in you Foundation structure? Do you think not reading books will make you a better person than the guy who continuously put a brick every day in its information building through reading books? These days of lockdown are the best one to update you. Here are the answer people like the ice cream but after toppings on it, they like it even more. Same is the case with the knowledge which you will get by reading books. Here is a list of books mentioned which is a must read:
- Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki and Sharon Lechter
- Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill
- How to Get Filthy Rich in Rising Asia by Mohsin Hamid

Online courses:
We had mentioned for the freelancing but can you do a little research that your skill or specialization is giving you a high monetization on freelancing or not? If not? Or if you have enough free time as many of us do. In this age, where information can be transferred like a fire in jungle, we have multiple websites that are offering free courses that are updated and teach by experts of related fields. Many courses that you can do online would be introduced in your regular studies like after your Graduation or after your Masters. But online platforms are providing you the opportunities to timely get hands on new skills. Some of the free platforms are:
- Coursera
- Udemy
- Digiskills
