The picture you see on the sidewalk is of the sidewalk on the west side of the Sonargaon Hotel in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Many have seen that tiles have been laid on the sidewalks of Dhaka.
Yellow tiles on one side. Have you ever wondered why these yellow tiles? Maybe you are thinking for beauty. In fact, it is not. This sidewalk is for visually impaired people.
If you notice a little, you will see that these yellow tiles have a straight stripe 7 a little higher.
A visually impaired person can easily walk and walk straight Again, where the pavement is sloping, there are six round circles in a tile.
If you step on it, it is easy to understand that the sidewalk has gone down. We thought of the disabled while walking.
You know, every day when I see this sidewalk, my chest swells with pride. Dhaka City has a lot of notoriety. However, our sidewalks are now handicapped-friendly
Thanks to Dhaka City Corporation.Needless to say, such an idea could come from someone's head. It may have come from the head of the late mayor Anisul Haque See, what an educated elegant cultural person can do if given the responsibility! Now the footpaths of other cities of the country should be handicapped friendly
I will expect this from the people's representatives. Because there are 6 visually impaired people all over the country.
Surprisingly, at least 20 percent of the total disabled people in the country are visually impaired. As such, there are at least three million visually impaired people in the country.
However, according to the World Health Organization, this number is not less than one and a half crores. Every year about five lakh people become helpless victims of blindness without knowing them we want development.
But if we forget so many people, development will not happen. Everyone has to think about that development is the idea of everyone's benefit.
